Thank you for considering a puppy from Catrigg Retrievers. We take great pride in our 5* breeding program, ensuring that each puppy is raised in a loving and supportive environment, with the highest standards of care. To ensure a smooth and transparent process for all parties involved, please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully:
1. Puppy Reservation & Non-Refundable Deposit
1.1 Joining the Waiting List
Joining the Catrigg Retrievers waiting list is free and carries no payment or commitment. You join the list after speaking with us, and no deposit is taken at that point.
1.2 Reservation Process
A non-refundable deposit of £500 becomes payable once a puppy has been allocated to you, which happens after a litter has been born and you have had a viewing. The deposit is applied towards the total cost of the puppy.
1.3 Non-Refundable Deposit
Please note that the £500 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. The deposit reserves the puppy allocated to you, and by placing the deposit you are committing to the purchase of that puppy.
1.4 Choosing Your Puppy
Where you have a preference, such as sex or colour, we will do our best to accommodate it, but preferences cannot be guaranteed until a litter is born. Once a litter has arrived and you have had a viewing, the puppy allocated to you is marked with a coloured collar and is then guaranteed to be yours.
1.5 Refunds and Cancellations
Once a puppy is allocated and the reservation is confirmed, the deposit is non-refundable. If you change your mind after making a reservation or fail to collect the puppy at the agreed-upon time, the deposit will not be refunded.
2. Payment & Finalization
2.1 Balance Payment
The remaining balance of the purchase price of the puppy must be paid in full before the puppy is released for pickup or delivery. The full payment is due on the agreed date of collection.
2.2 Payment Methods
We accept payments via bank transfer, debit card, or other agreed-upon methods. Please ensure that all payments are completed on the date to avoid any delays in the release of your puppy.
3. Five-Star Breeding Licence
3.1 Licensing & Accreditation
Catrigg Retrievers operates under a 5-Star Breeding License, issued by Craven Council, which is the highest standard of breeding license available. This license is awarded based on stringent animal welfare standards and inspections. Our commitment to ethical breeding practices ensures that all puppies are raised in a healthy, safe, and loving environment.
3.2 Health & Welfare
As part of our 5-Star Breeding License, all our puppies undergo thorough health checks by a qualified veterinarian. They are vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites before they are allowed to go to their new homes. Health records will be provided with each puppy.
3.3 Ongoing Support
Our 5-Star Breeding License is a reflection of our commitment to providing ongoing support to our puppy owners. We offer advice on puppy care, training, and any other queries you may have regarding your new puppy.
4. Puppy Collection
4.1 Collection Date
Once your puppy is ready for collection, you will be contacted to arrange an appropriate time. The agreed-upon collection date must be adhered to. If you are unable to collect your puppy on the specified date, please notify us in advance. Failure to collect within a reasonable timeframe could result in additional charges or the loss of the puppy.
4.2 Transport Arrangements
If you are unable to personally collect your puppy, we can assist with transport arrangements at an additional cost. This will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
5. Health Guarantee
5.1 Initial Health Guarantee
We guarantee that your puppy will be in good health at the time of purchase and will have received all necessary vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite treatments.
5.2 Veterinary Support
We provide a health certificate from our licensed vet confirming the puppy's health status. If any serious health issue arises within the first 14 days of ownership, please contact us immediately. We reserve the right to request a second opinion from a vet of our choice.
5.3 Limitations of Guarantee
Our health guarantee does not cover issues arising from neglect, poor nutrition, or other preventable conditions after the puppy leaves our care. The puppy's health and well-being are the responsibility of the new owner once the puppy has been transferred to their home.
6. General Terms
6.1 Right to Refuse Sale
We reserve the right to refuse sale to any individual at our discretion. If, for any reason, we believe that the puppy will not be going to a suitable home, we have the right to cancel the reservation and refund the deposit.
6.2 Transfer of Ownership
Puppies reserved with us are strictly for the purchaser named at the time of reservation. Under no circumstances should the puppy be sold, traded, or given away without prior written consent from Catrigg Retrievers.
6.3 Changes to Terms
Catrigg Retrievers reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be reflected on our website, and it is the responsibility of the buyer to review them periodically.
By proceeding with the reservation process, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. We appreciate your commitment to providing a loving and safe home for one of our puppies, and we are here to assist you throughout this exciting journey.
